This so far is not set in stone because we haven’t decided on when to show movies as of yet.
When we decide those dates I will definitely add it in here.
If you have any questions feel free to call me, my info is on the contact page.
Thanks,
Ashley
Does anyone want to help put up JL flyers in buildings around campus?
All you have to do is print out about 20 at a time in the Austin lab (any more in one print job they look at you funny.) or any other place and staple or tape them up on STUDENT boards and stairways/doors. (I averaged bout 10-15 per building)
I’ve already done Jenkins, Bate, Rawl, Austin, and half of the science and tech building, and going to finish that and then put up in Rivers and Brewsters. So if you would like to help (Please!!) email me with what building you are going to do and I’ll give you the flyer to print out. Jll1112@ecu.edu
Okay hi guys. I am so sorry I haven’t updated the site with the new shows that we’ll be watching for the semester. I’ve been in Florida on vacation and have had practically NO time to get anything done, but I promise I will get this thing updated before our first meeting of the semester, which is January 11th.
Just some reminders:
We have changed rooms. Due to some scheduling issues we have to be in room Bate 1015 this semesters. Not 1010.
I’ll make a sign to put on the door of room 1010.
OH GOD OKAY. That’s all I can think of for now. I JUST got home from Florida so my brain is scrambled, but I will update this later.
Happy New Year everyone. <33

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you all know that WE ARE having an officer meeting this weekend.
It will be in Mendenhall Student Center in the TV room at 4:00pm on Saturday.
The issues at hand are new shows, club activities for November and December, officer elections, and amendments to the constitution.
If you are interested in becoming an officer or have a show suggestion be sure to say something at the club meeting or officer meeting this weekend (all members are welcome to attend).
Remember, officer elections are at the end of the month/beginning of December.
Thanks and feel free to share any pictures of yourselves or random crazy drunk people you might have taken on Halloween.
Ben

Howdy everybody.
Just wanted everyone to know that I want to try and have an officers’ meeting this weekend. That’s not to say that only officers can attend. If you have any ideas, general suggestions, show suggestions, or just have any interest in how Japan League is run, please attend.
The tentative plan is to meet on Saturday at 2:00pm in Mendenhall in the TV room. However, I’m also up for having it at my apartment.
We need to decide what to show next week, as well as begin planning other events and getting shows to vote on.
Also, because we may need to file for a bigger room, I’m going to start taking attendance for this month. All you have to do is sign your name on a piece of paper. I know, I know. It sounds stupid. But if we want a bigger room, then we need to be able to show Student Activities how badly we’ll need to keep the same room and not be forced out.
For those of you interested in providing shows, make sure that you have as many of the episodes as possible (preferably, all of it). Movies are also another option. However, keep in mind that showing both movies and live-actions shows will be really difficult as far as planning goes.
Also, keep in mind that half of the programming shown needs to be Live-Action. Also, anime should (try to) reflect some aspect of Japanese culture. Given the unconfirmed status of SAGA for next semester, this “rule” is subject to exception and change.
Here are some websites for Live Action Shows:
SARS
Japan-TV
Mugen Drama
Studio Oto
Nya!
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you.

Hey everyone, Ashley here.
I just wanted to provide you guys with some contact info for myself.
Other officers, feel free to edit this to include your information as well.
If you have any questions then feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email, I only ask that if you’re going to call me, call my dorm number FIRST. I can not stress this enough.
My cell phone does not work in the dorm, and it’s a waste of my minutes to shout into the phone for a couple minutes trying to figure out just what the hell is going on. XD
Dorm - 252-328-7054
Cell - 252-412-8340
Email - amo0828@ecu.edu
MSN - kumagorou_@hotmail.com
AIM - Teh Riika
Yahoo - poet_ashley
Also, I’m Riika on Gaia online if you’re familiar with the site and would like to comment on my profile.
Once again, if you have any questions or anything don’t hesitate to contact me.
That is all. Go ahead and scroll down for our Fall semester. <3

Ashley and Xander at the 2006 freshman orientation student org fair.
It’s been a long time since we’ve had an update. I’ve been kind of busy moving in to my new place. Anyway, here are the results from the voting and discussion we had at the very last meeting from the previous semester on what shows to show this fall semester.
Live Action Shows:
You’re Under Arrest
Hana Yori Dango
Anime:
Speed Grapher
and either
Yakitate Japan or Honey & Clover
This choice depends on fall semester’s first meeting.
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you next semester!
